The Torture Machine
over 9 years ago – Mon, Sep 29, 2014 at 11:19:26 AM

Dear backers,

Since the previous update we sent out with detailed instructions how to connect miggo Strap&Wrap to the camera and a suggestion how to secure the camera to the strap with a cord, we received numerous worried comments. Truth is – we totally understand you – it's your precious camera hanging at the end of the miggo strap, so we just want to make a few things clear: We check and recheck our products, over and over. miggo is a new concept, and much of its conception is thanks to you. And yet – it's not perfect.

But if there's one thing we take seriously – it's the integrity of your camera.

And to show you just how serious we are, here is a short clip of our "torture machine" which mercilessly shakes a Strap&Wrap DSLR for an hour (!!) with a 1.5 kilo Canon connected to it.

Strap & Wrap drop test
Strap & Wrap drop test

The camera came out of the test alive and well. The photographer is still a bit dizzy…

This is just one of the tests we put our products through during development, in order to promise you’re the best.

Correct connection:

All of the meticulous planning and design, and all the rigorous testing in the world are worth nothing if the initial connection of the camera to miggo is not according to instructions. That's why we're sending you the instruction again, and we ask that they be done exactly.

Security cord :

We're not the first to suggest securing your camera to the strap: many serious companies who sell straps which connect below the camera (like your miggo) recommend this securing tip as a backup for the regular connection method. We decided to ask you to carry out additional actions after reaching the conclusion that despite all the explanations we provide and in spite of all the tests we conduct, there will be a small number of users who might not correctly connect their camera or not carefully check that the screw is actually tight - and possibly risk dropping their camera. Precisely for these cases there is the security cord.

All set? So go out and shoot to your heart's content.

Love,

Team miggo.

Upgrade your miggo (DIY) - photo attached
over 9 years ago – Mon, Sep 01, 2014 at 06:13:21 AM

Dear backers,

Sorry for the 2nd update today - we forgot to attach a well needed photo to the last update.

Again, we're gladd to tell you about a new way to carry your miggo Grip & Wrap: you can easily upgrade your Grip & Wrap by connecting any standard camera strap to it.

This will give you more carrying options (over the shoulder or around the neck), without compromising your miggo's style and comfort.

Also, if you who feel like your miggo Strap & Wrap DSLR is too long for carrying comfortably - then this should be the perfect solution for you.
